Frequently asked questions...

  • The sooner the better!

Just brought home a new puppy? Private lessons are a great place to start forming the good habits that puppy will have for life, and prevent the bad ones.

Recently adopted an older dog? It is never too late to start learning. This dog will be sharing your space, and we want you to love your new housemate.

*For any training outside the house, puppies must be fully vaccinated

  • Every dog and every human learns at a different pace. Your dog’s progress will depend on their age, temperament, previous experiences, and the consistency of training at home.

If you choose private lessons, the timeline will largely depend on the time, practice, and commitment you put into working with your dog between sessions.

Our Boarding School program offers a fantastic jump-start, giving your dog a concentrated period of professional training. However, training doesn’t end when your dog comes home — it’s an ongoing process that requires continued reinforcement to maintain and build on their skills.

  • I don’t offer traditional dog sitting or boarding. I do, however, offer Residency Training programs. This is a great option if you need to board your dog and want them to be learning while they are away. Your dog comes to stay in my home as part of the family and will get significantly more attention, structure, and care than they would at a standard boarding facility. Throughout their stay, I’ll tailor their training plan to your specific goals, working on the skills and manners that matter most to you. You’ll also receive detailed guidance and support to make sure the training continues successfully once your dog returns home.

  • Absolutely! Leash reactivity is one of my specialties. Pulling, whining, barking, or even lunging on leash is something many dog owners face. You may have imagined outdoor brunches, peaceful park strolls, and browsing farmers' markets with your dog — but reactivity can make those outings feel impossible. Many owners end up avoiding adventures altogether out of fear of worst-case scenarios.

I’m here to change that. With time, consistency, and the right training plan, you can replace that dread with excitement and confidence about taking your dog out into the world.
