About me
Hi, I'm Katelyn -- a professional dog trainer, lifelong animal lover, and firm believer that training should be just as much about the people as it is the dogs.
I have worked professionally with dogs for over nine years, but my journey started long before that. I was raised by a dog trainer in a home filled with dogs, cats, and horses. My early years were spent learning the ins and outs of animal care. Fostering kittens and dogs as a child gave me a passion and soft spot for rescuing animals. Since then, I have worked in dog daycare and boarding facilities, grooming salons, and pet health food stores, gaining hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments.

At the heart of my work is a deep respect for the individuality of every dog and their person. Whether I’m helping a new puppy build confidence, preparing a seasoned performer for the stage, or teaching a family how to better connect with their companion, I approach each case with curiosity, compassion, and care. I truly believe that every dog is unique, and their training should be too—and my mission is to help you bring out the very best in your dog through personalized, thoughtful training that fits your life.
In addition to pet training, I specialize in training animals for the stage and screen. With a background in both dog training and theatre, I have had the unique opportunity to train animals for live performances and film projects -- teaching them to confidently perform cues, hit marks, and stay focused in dynamic, high-energy environments. Whether it's a quick entrance or a more complex scene, my approach prioritizes the animal's comfort and confidence while meeting the creative demands of the production.
